Capital Celebrations has been contracted to fill the exhibit space for the May 27th Memorial Day Tribute to Wounded
Warriors Festival at Great Meadow Event Center just
west of Washington DC.

This is a great opportunity to get in front of 30,000 art,
and wine lovers. If you would like to exhibit

The Memorial Day Tribute to Wounded Warriors
will be the day of the largest benefit ever staged in this
country for Wounded Warriors!

Members of the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia
Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, and National Symphony
and other professional symphony musicians will come
together to create a 200 member orchestra with a 500
strong chorus conducted by Maestro Ulysses James.

More than 6 Major bands will perform on a specially
constructed stage surrounded by risers for the chorus
and 2 Jumbotrons will show the action and carry messages
from our sponsors, patrons, and performers.

There will be more than 100 corporate tents and 30,000
guests!

A Wounded Warrior softball team will play in front of the
crowd! This is a great opportunity to get in front of this
select audience. Hurry, spaces will go quickly.

Winter has been kind here in Adams county not much chance to find these kind of fun snow scenes!

REMEMBER IT IS JUST A MERE 50 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!

I want to thank all of you folks who are friends of Storm Haven Studios for being so patient!

I am finally recovering from my cataract surgery to the point where I will once again be posting our pertinent information here at the homestead for Storm Haven Studios!

Classes – Our Policies

Enrollment: We will have a minimum number of students to run the classes, which will vary. Most will be small groups, 4-8.

Waiting lists will be honored in the order that names are received. Please call 337-3044 or 339-6248 to inquire.

Your enrollment is complete when payment is received.

All classes are PREPAID!
We Thank you for your cooperation!

Payment: Check or cash only. Payment will be held until we know the class has minimum enrollment. If class is cancelled, payment will be refunded. If you cancel within one week of class, there will be no refund, unless extenuating crisis.

Any other timely cancellations by the student will forfeit a 25% fee!


Fees should be made payable to Andrea Theisson, 965 Black Horse Tavern Rd., Gettysburg, PA 17325.

You can register at Storm Haven Studios anytime during regular hours.

Thursday – Saturday 10-4 or 2nd Sundays 2-5.

Donations are welcome for certain demonstrations, seminars or salons, and are made at the time of event. Please FEEL FREE to contribute for no particular reason!

Winter/Weather closings: If the roads are open, we’ll be open. Instructor will call and or email you at least one hour before the class if cancelled. All efforts will made to re-schedule. Or, pro-rated refunds arranged.

Instructors: All instructors will be responsible for contacting their students to confirm classes, send materials lists, etc.

Instructors will provide their own equipment and supplies, or a materials list to be obtained by students.

Artist Louis M. Glackens captures the resolute huntress after she bagged her own turkey with shotgun still in hand and a look in her eye that says I can make the bacon as well as bag the bacon. This image is from a well-known 1904 satirical magazine’s cover known by the moniker of “PUCK”.

I found the image at the Library of Congress site and couldn’t resist, it is in the public domain.
